ROBOTS COULD REPLACE HALF OF WORKERS

A private-sector study says that in the near future, machines or artificial intelligence systems could be performing nearly half the jobs that Japanese workers have today.
The Nomura Research Institute, together with researchers from Oxford University, used computer analysis of the knowledge and skills needed for each profession. And they found that in 10 to 20 years, non-humans could probably handle 235 of the 601 types of jobs they studied.
They include supermarket employees, office workers, taxi drivers, hotel room cleaners and security guards. These jobs employ about 25 million people, or 49 percent of Japan's current workforce. Jobs that require communication with people, such as doctors, teachers, hairdressers and tour guides, are projected to be non-replaceable.

民間のある研究によりますと、現在日本人が従事している職業のほぼ半分は、近い将来、機械や人工知能が行うようになるかもしれないということです。
野村総合研究所が、それぞれの職業に必要な知識や技術を、オックスフォード大学と共同でコンピューター解析しました。その結果、調査した６０１種類の職業のうち２３５の職業については、１０年から２０年後には人間でなくても行うことが可能になるかもしれないということが分かりました。
この２３５の職種には、スーパーの店員、事務員、タクシー運転手やホテル客室係、警備員などが含まれています。こうした職業には現在、日本の労働人口の４９パーセント、およそ２,５００万人が就いています。人とのコミュニケーションを必要とする職業、例えば医師や教師、美容師や観光ガイドなどは、機械が代わって行うことは難しいと予測されています。
