月の砂漠を　はるばると
旅のらくだが　ゆきました
金と銀との　鞍(くら)おいて
二つならんで　ゆきました

金の鞍には　銀のかめ
銀の鞍には　金のかめ
二つのかめは　それぞれに
紐で結んで　ありました

さきの鞍には　王子様
あとの鞍には　お姫様
乗った二人は　おそろいの
白い上着を　着てました

広い砂漠を　ひとすじに
二人はどこへ　ゆくのでしょう
朧にけぶる　月の夜を
対のらくだは　とぼとぼと

砂丘を越えて　行きました
黙って越えて　行きました

Under the moonlight, two shadows of camels
Are trudging across the lonely desert
With the saddles of gold and silver
Those are reflecting the blue moonlight

A silver jar is hanged on the side of gold saddle　　
A gold jar is hanged on the side of silver saddle　　
Each is bound with the hemp ropes
Those seem rather heavy loadings

A prince is sitting on the preceding saddle　　　　
A princess is sitting on the following saddle
The prince is wearing a white greatcoat
And the princess is wearing a white chador

In a straight way on the wide desert
Oh where, where are they going?
Camels are walking along leaving footprints
The moon is shining high up in the sky
They are going over the sand dunes
