着物をきかえて　帯しめて
今日はわたしも　はれ姿
春のやよいの　このよき日
なによりうれしい　ひな祭り

Let's light the lanterns on the tiered stand.
Let's put peach blossoms in the flower vase.
Five court musicians are playing flutes and drums.
Today is a happy Dolls' Festival.

The Emperor doll and the Empress doll
Sitting down on the Imperial seats
The court lady reminds me of my sister
That she married and went far away

Spring wind is flickering the candles
That're reflecting on a gold folding screen
The Minister's face seems a little red
He might have drunk white sake

Putting on a Kimono and a broad sash
I'm dressing up like a beautiful doll
Quiet and wonderful early March
